A huge thank you to Boo and Rory for hosting 25 of us once again for our Summer Party. Despite the week’s patchy forecast, we ended up basking under clear blue skies. Normally, our Tuesday eating habits are 1) Basic and 2) Predictable, but the Wessex Fives players excelled themselves— turns out, we have some serious culinary talent in our ranks (with maybe a little wifely help here and there!). The Guinness Book of Records has today confirmed: never before has such a cheese selection graced a fives Summer party.
The fire pit was once again a highlight— only the finest seasoned wood allowed, so we avoided the possible smoke-out. The evening flew by, and there’s already talk of ‘Glasto-ing’ it next year and making a whole weekend of it.
